3 Injured In Crash On Braintree-Quincy Line

One of the drivers hit a tree, needed to be extricated from their car and suffered serious injuries.

QUINCY, MA — Three people were injured in a three-car crash at the Quincy-Braintree town line, according to State Police. One of the drivers suffered serious, but not life threatening injuries. Around 7:15 p.m. Monday, emergency officials were called to Willard Street and found the three drivers injured.

Braintree police said the crash started as ahead-on collision between two vehicles, but a third car became involved in the accident, State Police told the Patriot Ledger. One of the vehicles, a Chevorelt Cobalt, struck a tree in front of an Adams Place home, police said.

The driver that hit the tree had to be extricated and was taken to the hospital with serious injuries. Police said the other two drivers suffered minor injuries.

Granite Street was closed in both directions for about an hour.

State Police are investigating the cause of the crash.
