AP Calls Norfolk, Plymouth and Bristol MA Senate District For Timilty

The incumbent Democrat has defeated Republican Brian Muello, according to the Associated Press.

NORFOLK COUNTY, MA — The Associated Press has called the Norfolk, Plymouth and Bristol State Senate District in favor of incumbent Democrat Walter Timility.

According to the AP, Timilty gathered roughly 15,000 more votes than Republican challenger Brian Muello with 78 percent of the vote counted.

Timilty was first elected to the seat in 2016.

For the 2021 legislative session, he was assigned to the following committees: Senate Chair of the Joint Committee on Public Safety and Homeland Security, Senate Vice Chair of the Joint Committee on Labor and Workforce Development; and member of the Joint Committee on Bonding, Capital Expenditures, and State Assets, the Joint Committee on State Administration and Regulatory Oversight, and the Joint Committee on Tourism, Arts and Cultural Development.
