Armed Barricade Resolved In Braintree: Report
An armed barricade was reported Saturday in Braintree, leading police to take a suspect into custody.
BRAINTREE, MA — An armed barricade was resolved in Braintree Saturday, according to a media report.
The incident happened in the 50 to 60 block of Elm Street, prompting a road closure between Church and Washington Street. As of 4:38 p.m., the Braintree Police Department said the incident was resolved and a person was in custody.
The incident involved an armed suspect, the Boston Globe reported. The barricade prompted a response from the state police's bomb squad, a SWAT team and tactical team.
