The suspect is still at large after a two hour search. A local school was ordered to shelter-in-place during the search.
BRAINTREE, MA — An armed robbery at a Washington Street CVS store prompted a multi-hour search for a suspect who remains at-large, Braintree police said.
At about 2:30 p.m., Braintree police received a 911 call from a sales associate at CVS pharmacy at 884 Washington St. reporting that he had just been the victim of a robbery, officials said.
The employee stated that after entering the store, a man "wandered around the store and waited for other customers to leave." He then approached the register and stated, “I have a gun in my bag, you’re getting robbed, give me the money.”
