Barnes & Noble, Braintree, Now Accepting Entries for 7th Annual “My Favorite Teacher" Contest
Opportunity for area middle and high school students to recognize their favorite teacher.
Entries for the 2017 “My Favorite Teacher" Contest, are currently being accepted at Barnes & Noble, Braintree.
For the past seven years, the contest has provided middle and high school students the opportunity to tell their communities how much they appreciate their teachers.
Students can nominate their teacher by writing an essay, poem or thank-you letter that shares how a teacher (teachers from grades 1 through 12 are eligible) has influenced their lives and why they appreciate and admire them. Entries are judged on the compelling nature of the teacher’s inspiring qualities, the sincerity of the student’s appreciation and the quality of expression and writing.

The local winning teacher will be recognized in March 2017 at an event to be held at Barnes & Noble Braintree, where they will receive a special award acknowledging their achievement. The student who wrote the winning essay or poem, will also be honored at the ceremony.
The deadline for entries is March 1, 2017. Only middle and high school students and active teachers employed in elementary, middle or high schools in the United States are eligible. Complete details on the contest can be found at www.bn.com/myfavoriteteacher.
