The Braintree High School Varsity Cheerleading Squad in the Fall of 2016 have worked their way to the highest level of competition - the National High School Cheerleading Championship in Orlando, Florida. The cheerleaders have had a tremendously successful 2016 season. They earned 1st place at both the Dartmouth HS and Tri-County HS Invitationals. On November 3rd, they were crowned Champions at the Baystate League Championship held at Braintree High School.

The 1st place victory at the Bay State League advanced the team to the very competitive MSSAA South Regional Competition. The BHS cheerleaders earned a trophy and became the Division 1 South Regional 2nd Place Runner-Up at that competition. This placement advanced the team to the MSSAA State Championship on November 20th.

The Braintree High School Cheerleaders earned a trophy and became the State Championship, Division 1, 2nd Place Runner-Up and automatically qualified the team to attend the National Cheerleading Championship to represent Massachusetts in February 2017.
In addition to these accomplishments, the team actively supports BHS varsity athletics and contributes time and efforts to community services.
The team will compete on February 11 and 12, 2017 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida. This event will be televised nationally on ESPN. The cost of the trip, per cheerleader, is $1,000. We are seeking support and financial donations to help defray the costs.
Your support will not only help offset the cost per cheerleader, but will also send a positive message to these young women and to the community, that you value the excellent example these young women present to their peers. Any contribution or tax deductible donations that you are able to make on behalf of the BHS Varsity Cheerleaders will be very much appreciated and your consideration will go a long way in helping foster strong, healthy role models and future leaders for our community.
