One comment I have heard repeatedly made is that most of the nominees are political insiders, that they are already employees of the state.
I have shared this comment with those at the state level.

After the first dozen nominees the percent that were state employees was 75%.
After the information about these nominees were made more accessible to the public, and people commented on the makeup of these nominees that percent quickly changed to the current 50%.
It is easy to criticize an inappropriate nominee, however by making the process more transparent, problems tend to solve themselves.
I believe and I am working for more transparency in the process.
