Public and Interactive Discussion of Religious Pluralism April 4 7:00 p.m.
Join us for a public lecture and discussion on religious pluralism this Thursday, April 4, 7:00 p.m., presented by the Braintree Interfaith Clergy Association.
"God, Revelation and Peoplehood: Religious Pluralism in Twenty-first Century America"
That is the title of the free public lecture and study session this Thursday, April 4, at 7:00 p.m. at Thayer Public Library, 798 Washington Street, Braintree. Refreshments will be served. Our speaker is Rabbi Or Rose, Director of Hebrew College’s Center for Global Judaism.
We live today in the most religiously diverse society on the planet. This diversity requires each of us to think carefully about our core beliefs and practices. As we engage with people who may be entirely secular, or active in another faith tradition, we need to understand and be able to express our beliefs in such basic concepts as God, revelation and peoplehood.
Rabbi Rose will lead an interactive learning session that highlights those Jewish texts and traditions which help to shape a contemporary approach to religious pluralism.
