When a Braintree-ite Moves Down South

My name Elaine (Frazier) Perakslis Wheaton. I graduated from Braintree High School and now I live in the Myrtle Beach, SC area.

WAS IT HARD TO LEAVE? You bet! I loved Braintree and had always wished that I'd be able to afford to purchase a house there when I got married. Unfortunately, that didn't happen and we moved to Pembroke in 1965, where the house prices were a little more reasonable at the time.  

In 1993, when my new husband and I decided to make a big move to SC, it was a difficult decision, but exciting at the same time. Leaving family was horrible, starting a new life in a new state was exciting.  

For those of you who also moved South, I am curious to know how my fellow Braintree-ites felt when they decided to pack up and move south. I'm also curious to know why you moved, how you adjusted and what you love or hate about the south. Please share you comments on this blog, we'd love to hear from you!
