Braintree 2020-21 Kindergarten Registration Information

BRAINTREE, MA — Kindergarten registration for the 2020-2021 school year begins next month. Braintree Public Schools offers both full and half-day programs, but full-day programs are dependent on space.

There will be three days for registration at Monatiquot School Kindergarten Center at 25 Brow Avenue. Here's the registration schedule:

• 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 21
• 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Jan. 23
• 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Jan. 25

Once registration week is complete, the district said it will evaluate the number of families requesting half-day and full-day programs. School officials said all families will know their of their child’s placement during the week of Feb. 3. At that time, should a lottery be needed for full-day kindergarten placement requests, those families will be notified and information about the lottery process will be provided.

The full-day kindergarten program has a fee of $3,500 per year per student. If your registration is confirmed for a full-day placement, a deposit of $600.00 must be submitted no later than Feb. 28 to hold your child's seat.

For families who may be eligible for reduced tuition, there is a reduced rate of $1750 per year per student, and a $300 deposit must be submitted no later than Feb. 28.
