BRAINTREE, MA — July 4th is quickly approaching, which means it's time to fire up that barbecue and find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you this Independence Day. We gathered up all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around Braintree so you can start planning now.

Braintree will celebrate the Fourth of July and Braintree Day on June 29 with a parade, party at the high school, and fireworks.

Braintree Stars And Stripes Parade

The Braintree Day celebration kicks off with a parade at 11:45 a.m., which begins in the parking lot of the Registry of Motor Vehicles/Bayshore Athletic Club on Plain Street.

Here's the parade route:

  • Right out of the parking lot onto Plain Street.
  • Right onto Hancock Stand.
  • North on Hancock Street through South Braintree Square.
  • Straight as Hancock St becomes Washington Street.
  • Ends at the Hollis School

Party and Food Truck Rodeo

The Braintree Day party continues at the high school, located at 128 Town Street. DJ Crazie Eddie Kelley will get the crowd moving with some summertime favorites and there will be plenty of food to choose from. More than 25 food trucks are coming out for Braintree's Fourth of July party. There's going to be plenty of free and fairly priced games and attractions for the whole family to enjoy.

Fireworks

A Fireworks extravaganza will close out the party at 9:30 p.m.
