Braintree Allen Street Project Gets $3.15 Million In Federal Aid
Rep. Stephen Lynch announced the funding for the reconstruction of Allen Street from Shaw Street to Quincy Avenue.

BRAINTREE, MA — Massachusetts Congressman Stephen Lynch was on-hand in Braintree Friday to announce additional funding for a multi-million dollar project in Braintree.
Lynch and Mayor Charles Kokoros were at the former BELD property at 44 Allen St. where Lynch announced $3.15 million in federal aid for the reconstruction of Allen Street from Shaw Street to Quincy Avenue.
The project also received $2.5 million through the Community One Stop for Growth Awards in the Fiscal Year 2023 cycle.

Money will fund the reconstruction of Allen Street from Shaw Street to Quincy Avenue, a length of approximately 1,450 feet.
The project also includes the redevelopment of a vacant property with mixed-income housing units, public access to the Monatiquot River, and the furthering of multimodal transit goals with added walkability to the nearby commuter rail station.
