Braintree Baseball Downed by St. John's Prep, Will Play Second State Title Game
The Wamps will play St. John's Prep one more time Thursday night for the Division 1A title.
The Wamps have used their mulligan in the double-elimination Super 8 tournament.
With an opportunity to win the state title, Braintree’s championship dreams will have to wait one more day after a 20-4 loss to St. John’s Prep according to ESPN Boston.
Despite an early 1-0 lead by Braintree and a 3-3 tie, Prep would go on to outscore Braintree 17-1 while earning the chance to play an extra postseason game.

Prep and Braintree will return to Campanelli Stadium in Brockton in a winner-take-all final Thursday evening at 7:30 p.m.
