Braintree Baseball No. 1 in Boston Herald Ranking

The top spot is the only place for the MIAA Division 1A champions.

Braintree, MA — As the back-to-back state champions, the only place for the Braintree baseball team is at the top of the rankings.

This week, the Wamps finished the season ranked first in the Boston Herald Division 1 South rankings. Pitcher Scott Creedon was named the region's player of the year.

After a slow start and a second place finish in the Carey Division of the very competitive Bay State Conference, the Wamps qualified for the Super 8 tournament as the sixth seed. The team went through St. John's Prep, St. John's of Shrewsbury, and Xaverian on their way to another appearance in the tournament final.
