Braintree Baseball's Hopes For Super 8 Three-Peat Remain Alive
The Wamps beat Central Catholic 5-2 Thursday night.

BRAINTREE, MA — The Braintree baseball team may be one game away from their season ending but with the way they're playing, the chances of a Super 8 three-peat remain alive and well.
The Wamps beat Central Catholic 5-2 in the second round of the tournament's loser's bracket. They will face the winner of the BC High/Xaverian match.
The Wamps took an early 2-0 lead in the top of the first inning and doubled their total in the next inning. Central Catholic tried to make things interesting in the ninth down three and runners on first and second, but the game would end on a double play.
