Braintree Boys Hockey Earn Top Spot, First Round Bye

Braintree will play the winner of King Philp vs. Newton North.

BRAINTREE, MA - The Braintree boys’ hockey team will be the squad to beat when the MIAA Division 1 hockey tournament starts this week.

By virtue of their 14-3-3 record, the Wamps have been awarded the top seed and a bye in the south sectional, according to the Boston Herald. They will play either King Philip or Newton North in the quarterfinals.

The date, time, and location of Braintree’s first game of the postseason is to be announced.
