Braintree Cancels Spring Waste Event Amid Clean Harbors Fire Recovery
The event scheduled for April was postponed until the fall, but there are other hazardous waste disposal events available in the area.

BRAINTREE, MA — The recent fire at Clean Harbors is Braintree is having great effects on the community at large, this time in the form of a cancelation.
Clean Harbors won't operate the spring household hazardous waste event scheduled for April 29 in Braintree, officials announced this week.
The event will be postponed until the fall.

Because the town is a member of the South Shore Recycling Cooperative, Braintree residents may attend events being held in other communities, which are listed below:
- April 1, Weymouth (no latex paint) NO LATEX PAINT
- April 8, Plymouth (no latex paint, off-rim tires)
- April 15, Hanover, Usable latex paint accepted
- June 10, Hingham, (no latex paint)
- June 17, Kingston, Duxbury and Pembroke (no latex paint)
- June 24, Scituate and Cohasset (no latex paint)
