It should not be appropriate for builders or developers to come and build three to five townhouses in a place or area that should have one single-family house. If that happens, it will create more traffic and overcrowded schools. Therefore, my plan is to work with the mayor to reform or fix the zoning law, to prevent that to happen to our town.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

The critical differences between me and the other candidates is that with me, the Town of Braintree will have a chance to diversify by electing a strong, qualify black woman. Additionally, as a mother of two boys, my nurturing capacity will serve Braintree much more than what the other two candidates will offer.

Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform

Broken promises. Such as the water and sewer issues, the reservoir that needs to be replaced, pool and ice rink, more police, the fire department issues, school underfunded and more. We need to see more actions on behalf of the people instead of empty talked/promises.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

Being a preacher, a manager and a mother have well prepared me for this post. Additionally, I was born for this moment.

What's your favorite thing about Braintree?

Family-oriented and safe community. (quiet)

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I am a thorough thinker, I am very much ethical, and my integrity is vital to me which is the ground I stand on. I am an open-minded person, a promise keeper - if there is any change along the road, I will promptly communicate that to my constituents. My position is that the leaders of Braintree must hold a higher standard of transparency and do what is right for the people.
