Braintree Celebrates The 4th With The Stars And Stripes Parade
Thousands line the street to celebrate Braintree Day
If you love parades, the Stars and Stripes parade will become one of your favorites. Lasting over two hours and even in the heat, the Braintree faithful came together to enjoy an entertaining and uplifting event. Kids like Addison and Aiden Zahn, Jackson Halpin (an admirer of old time cars), Ava and Ella MacDonald, Ella and Claire Sampson, Brooke and Dustin Petrilli, Maggie Burchill, Emelia Margetis, Mikayla Farrel, Melissa Ross, Joe Clancy Jr. and Coleman Clancy were having a great time enjoying the fun filled day while diving for the occasional treats thrown from the floats and trucks. But all, of course, looked forward to the fireworks later that night.
Complete with Police, Firefighters, marching bands, clowns, car clubs (love those Corvettes), military dedications and wonderful charities and organizations such as The Shriners, Relay for Life and the Braintree Commission on Disabilities, dance groups, Braintree little league champs and The Honored Grand Marshal, Bob Beach.
Also speckled with various politicians the parade included the honorable Mayor Joe Sullivan, and Governor Charlie Baker-a nice surprise for many.
