Braintree Chief Of Staff Leaves For Same Role With Boston Police
Nicole Taub will rejoin the Boston Police Department, this time as Commissioner Michael Cox's chief of staff.

BRAINTREE, MA — Mayor Charles Kokoros Chief of Staff Nicole Taub has officially moved on from her role in Braintree.
The decision from Taub was announced at a February council meeting, but now Taub's next job has been announced.
Multiple news reports have confirmed that Taub will leave Braintree to take the same job with the Boston Police Department, serving as Commissioner Michael Cox's chief of staff.

Taub started as Kokoros' chief of staff in the summer of 2020, and has served in the role ever since. She was the first woman chief of staff for Braintree, as well as the first Latin American to hold the position.
Taub started with Braintree as the town solicitor in July 2018 under former Mayor Joseph Sullivan's administration. In this position, she provided legal counsel to all town departments, boards and commissions.

Prior to working for the Town of Braintree, Taub was the senior staff attorney with the Boston Police Department for 11 years. In this position, she provided legal counsel to the police commissioner, command staff, human resources, labor relations and other divisions on matters relating to internal policies and procedures, legislative proposals and personnel and disciplinary matters.
