From Mayor Joseph Sullivan's office:

Mayor Joseph C. Sullivan is inviting residents to join him at 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 7 for the annual lighting of the Town Hall Christmas Tree. Hot chocolate and other light refreshments will be provided thanks to support from the Quincy Credit Union.

“As we prepare to celebrate the holiday season here in Braintree I hope you can join me for the terrific Christmas tree lighting” said Sullivan. “Although this is his busiest time of year we have been informed that Santa Claus may just be able to fit us in to his schedule!”

Sullivan noted that Santa Claus will be escorted to the tree lighting by Fire Truck so that the reindeer “can take a rest and be ready for Dec. 24.”

In the event of inclement weather the tree lighting will be moved to the following night at 4:30 p.m.
