BRAINTREE, MA — Braintree will kick off the holiday season on Saturday, when the town starts to shine a little brighter.Town officials have scheduled Braintree's annual Christmas tree lighting for Saturday with events starting at 4 p.m.The festivities will take place at the Town Hall Memorial Veterans Hall in front of Braintree Town Hall. Hot chocolate will be available in advance of the arrival of Santa Claus at 4:45 p.m. to light the tree. In the event of inclement weather, the tree lighting will be moved to Sunday at 4 p.m.
