Braintree Coronavirus Stats: Cases, Positive Rate Keep Rising
The town's two-week average positive test rate remains above the state average, according to the latest Department of Public Health report.

BRAINTREE, MA — Braintree's positive coronavirus test rate remains above the state average and is rising, according to the latest municipal-level data released by the Department of Public Health Thursday.
Over the last two weeks, 6.41 percent of Braintree tests were positive, which is well above the statewide rate of 4.97 percent over the same period.

The town had 344 cases in the last two weeks, or 62 daily cases per 100,000 residents.
Both the positive rate and the case total increased from last week's report.

The state also reported that Braintree has 74.5 percent of its residents fully vaccinated, up more than 1 percent from last week's report. Over 83 percent of residents have been at least partially vaccinated.
