Braintree Couple Indicted On Cocaine Trafficking Charges

Police said they seized 47 grams of crack cocaine, seven grams of cocaine, 50 oxycodone pills, $1,400 cash, a handgun and 25 rounds of ammo.

DEDHAM, MA — A Braintree Couple has been indicted by a Norfolk County Grand Jury after police said they were trafficking over 50 grams of cocaine.

Khary Fair, 40 and Bernice Alexander, 51 were charged with trafficking between 36 and 100 grams of cocaine and possession with the intent to distribute. Fair was also charged with possession of a firearm without a license, possession while commissioning a felony, improper firearm storage, and a second count of possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute.

The charges stemmed from a May arrest, where police executed a search warrant at Fair and Alexander's home because of an anonymous tip to their address. Police said they seized 47 grams of crack cocaine, seven grams of cocaine, 50 oxycodone pills, $1,400 cash, a handgun and 25 rounds of ammunition. Fair and Alexander were not home during the raid.

Indictment moved the case from district court to superior court, where more serious cases with longer potential sentences are heard. Arraignment in superior court is yet to be scheduled.
