
Braintree, November 17, 2016: Braintree High School’s Varsity and Junior Varsity Teams both cinched the Grand Champion Award in each of their divisions this month at the New England Cheer and Dance Competition held at the Reggie Lewis Center in Boston. This top honor is awarded to the highest scoring teams throughout all styles and genres within their respective divisions; Varsity High School large and small for the Varsity Team and High School Novice large and small for the Junior Varsity Team.
In addition, Braintree High School’s award winning Varsity dance team won first place in the Varsity High School all styles division. Coach Hale states “With their success the team is ready to focus on perfecting their routine for the MSSAA State Championship and the upcoming winter season.”
The Junior Varsity Team won first place in the high school novice all styles division. Ms. Rodd the team’s coach proudly stated, “The girls have put in many long hours of work and I am very proud of everything they have accomplished this season. They continue to rise to every occasion and I am looking forward to state competition and the winter season ahead.”

Braintree High School’s Varsity Team placed 2nd in the MSSAA State Championship in the Varsity Division. The Junior Varsity Team held the high score amongst all JV teams performing at the competition.
The winter season for both Varsity and Junior Varsity begins next month. Both teams are currently being selected.
