Braintree Educators Get New Three-Year Contract
The Braintree School Committee approved the new contract Monday.

Braintree, MA—After months of negotiations, teachers in Braintree are getting a raise and a new contract.
Monday, the Braintree School Committee approved a new three-year contract with the Braintree Educators Association.
The contract includes a 2 percent raise for the upcoming school year, 2.5 percent for 2017-18, and 2.5 for 2018-19.

“There were a lot of people in the room that generated options and created some consensus. I’m pleased with how the process went,” Superintendent Frank Hackett said.
“ I want to express appreciation to the superintendent as well. It was a very respectful conversation and a successful conversation,” Mayor Joseph Sullivan added.
