Braintree to Get Nearly $1 Million for Road and Infrastructure Repairs

The Massachusetts House of Representatives approved legislation that includes a $200 million bond authorization for Chapter 90 funding.

BRAINTREE, MA — Braintree will soon receive nearly $1 million in funds for roads, bridges and infrastructure.

State Representative Mark J. Cusack announced this week that the town is slated to receive $985,977 in Chapter 90 funding.

“Braintree is a center for transportation on the South Shore and ensuring safe travel for the public is a top priority. Like in most cities and towns across Massachusetts, the roadways and bridges in Braintree require improvements,” Cusack said in a release. “Today’s vote in the House of Representatives demonstrates the House’s commitment to providing the necessary State funding to ensure the roads and bridges of our state are maintained and safe for transportation.”
