Braintree Girls' Basketball Advances To D1 South Final
The Wamps strolled past Mansifled to make their seventh straight Division 1 South Sectional Championship game.

BRAINTREE, MA — It's almost become a near certainty - the Braintree girls' basketball team making the MIAA Division 1 South Sectional final.
The second-ranked Wamps picked up a 68-40 win over the third-ranked Mansfield Hornets Thursday night at Taunton High School. Jeniyah Jones led Braintree on both sides of the court with a double-double of 15 points and 10 steals.
Braintree will now attempt to win their sixth South Sectional title in seven years, only losing in 2016 to Bishop Feehan.

Awaiting Braintree will be the top-seeded Newton South Lions, 65-36 victors over Bridgewater-Raynham in the semi-finals. The final will be played Taunton High School Saturday night at 7:15 p.m.
The winner moves on to the state-semi final at TD Garden.
