Braintree in the Girls' Basketball State Final: The Experts' Take

Highly regarded as the best girls’ basketball team in the state, the Braintree Wamps go for their second Division 1 title in a row tonight when they face Central at the DCU Center in Worcester.

Undefeated in state play for two years and dominating opponents all season long, the experts are taking Braintree as the favorite to win tonight.

Dan Ventura of the Boston Herald commented in his prediction that while Central has the athleticism to play with Braintree, the Wamps are on another level.

Brendan Hall of ESPN Boston also took Braintree, commenting on the firepower of Gatorade Player of the Year Ashley Russell; Molly Reagan; sisters Bridget and Brianna Herlihy; and sophomore Keelah Dixon
