Braintree Golf Course Gets Approval To Serve Alcohol Year-Round
The Braintree Municipal Golf Course can serve alcohol year-round and an hour earlier after getting the green light from the licensing board.
BRAINTREE, MA — The Braintree Municipal Golf Course was given the green light to sell alcohol year-round, following Tuesday's vote from the town's licensing board. The board granted a full-year wine and malt beverages license to the Links Cafe at 101 Jefferson St, which allows the golf course to sell beer and wine from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. year-round, the Patriot Ledger reported.
Previously the restaurant at the golf course had a seasonal license, which only allowed them to serve alcohol 245 days a year. The new license also allows the Links Cafe to serve alcohol an hour earlier. Daryn Brown, the director of the town's golf course, told the board the extended license will help increase business for the indoor golf simulators during the winter months.
