Braintree High Enrollment Expected to Increase

Headmaster James Lee recently gave an update to the School Committee.

BRAINTREE, MA - If there's one thing that Braintree High School can anticipate over the next few years it's more students.

Monday night, Headmaster James Lee told the school committee that he is expecting enrollment through 2022 to increase. The update came during a presentation for the Braintree High School improvement plan.

Currently, the senior class has 391 students, the junior class consists of 387, the sophomore class has 414, and the freshmen class includes 383. The classes of 2020, 2021, and 2022 are projected to have 420, 400, and 400 students each.

"Obviously, that has a result in the school population," Lee said.

That means an increase from the current student population of 1,575. The enrollment for the next three years are projected to be 1,604; 1,617; and 1,603.
