Braintree Holiday Trash And Christmas Tree Pickup Schedule
Make sure your trash is out on the right day the next couple weeks.

BRAINTREE, MA — As great as the holidays are, it can be confusing knowing when you're supposed to put out your trash for a couple weeks. Mayor Joseph Sullivan's office announced the schedule Thursday to make sure everyone is on the same page.
Christmas Eve and New Years Eve will have regular pickup services. However, there's no service on Christmas or New Years Day.
For everyone else, your trash pickup is delayed one day. For example, if you normally have your trash picked up on Friday, the town will pick it up on Saturday.

If you want to get rid of your Christmas tree, the town will pick them up the weeks of Dec. 31 and Jan. 7. After that, trees can be dropped off at the compost site at 225 Plain Street.
Make sure to follow these rules with your trash and recycling this holiday season:

- Wrapping paper is no longer an acceptable item for recycling and should go in the trash.
- Up to three bags of extra trash may be placed curbside for the weeks of December 24 and December 31.
