Braintree Hosting 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony
Braintree town officials invited the public to a remembrance ceremony for the 18th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.
BRAINTREE, MA — The town will host a a remembrance ceremony tomorrow morning for the 18th anniversary of 9/11 attacks. The ceremony begins at 8:30 a.m. in the Cahill Auditorium at the town hall.
Two moments of silence are scheduled for 8:46 a.m. and 9:03 a.m., the times when the two hijacked planes struck the World Trade Center in New York City. The ceremony will also include remarks from May Joseph Sullivan, patriotic music by the Braintree High School choir and a light breakfast.
"It is important that we continue to remember the lives lost on that faithful day and that we offer our appreciation to our first responders every day, but especially on September 11th," Sullivan said in statement on the event's Facebook page.
