Braintree House Fire Causes $200K in Damage
This weekend, fire crews responded to the blaze on Howard Street.

Firefighters in Braintree responded to a two-alarm fire at a Howard Street home Saturday afternoon.
Braintree Deputy Fire Chief Alan Predella told the Patriot Ledger that firefighters arrived at the fully engulfed home just before 2 p.m. Saturday. No one was at home at the time of the fire.
According to Predella, the fire caused extensive damage on the first floor and smoke and water damage throughout the home.

The damage is estimated at over $200,000. According to the Braintree assessors, the house and property are valued at 357,700.

The cause remains under investigation.
