Braintree HS Football Field Bleachers Deemed Unsafe

BRAINTREE, MA — The Braintree High School track and football field home-side bleachers are not safe, the town confirmed Friday.

Following an inspection by town's building division, the school district chose to temporarily close the bleachers on the home side of the field due to a potential compromising of the seating area.

Assessments are currently underway to determine repairs needed and the duration of non-availability for public use. The school committee is expected to discuss options and solutions Monday night.

The field will remain open and spectators are asked to use the visitor's side.
