Braintree HS Football Player Signs Letter of Intent

Greg Wood will play football for the Division 1 Bryant Bulldogs this September.

BRAINTREE, MA — This fall, Braintree's Greg Wood will be a Bulldog.

The senior defensive tackle signed his letter of intent to play at Bryant University this fall as part of Wednesday's National Signing Day. Wood joins a Division 1 Football Championship team that went 5-6 overall and 4-2 in Northeast Conference play.

A three-year starter, Wood earned 43 tackles, four sacks, eight tackles for a loss and one sack as a senior, according to Bryant. This year he earned Boston Globe All-Scholastic, Eastern Mass. All-Star, Patriot Ledger All-Scholastic, and Bay State Conference All-Star honors. He was also named to the USA Today All-USA Massachusetts Second Team.

Off the football field, Wood has earned two varsity letters in winter track and four in spring track.
