Braintree Kmart Closing Down

However, two new tenants for the building have been found.

Braintree’s Kmart will soon close their doors, but it won’t be vacant for long.

Open since 1996, the big box discount store off of Route 3 recently announced that they will no longer have a store in Braintree, but a replacement has been found.

Mayor Joseph Sullivan told the Patriot Ledger that a Nordstrom Rack and a Sack’s Fifth Avenue outlet are planning to take over the space. About 4,000 square feet will remain vacant, with a restaurant targeted to fill out the building, according to Sullivan.
