Braintree Man Takes $1 Million Lottery Prize
Michael Owens of Braintree is the fifth $1 million prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery's 100X scratch ticket.

BRAINTREE, MA — A Braintree man is a $1 million richer after winning a big price on a scratch ticket.
Michael Owens recently became the fifth $1 million prize winner in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s 100X instant game that launched in June.
Owens chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000. He told Lottery officials that he plans on investing part of his winnings.

The winning ticket was purchased at Ashmont Convenience in Dorchester. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale.
Three $4 million prizes and ten $1 million prizes remain in the game.
