Braintree Man Arrested After Police Chase Through Three Towns

Martin Mullen, 27, of Braintree, is charged with resisting arrest, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and driving a stolen vehicle.

A Braintree man who led police on a chase through three towns will face charges in court today.

Martin Mullen, 27, of Braintree, is facing multiple charges including resisting arrest, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and driving a stolen motor vehicle according to FOX 25 Boston.

Just before 10 a.m., police responded to a report of an unwanted man at Scituate High School. When police arrived at the high school, he was found outside the school, in his car before he fled the scene.

Mullen allegedly took police on a chase through Scituate, Cohasset and eventually Hingham, before crashing his car at the intersection of Central Street and Emerald Street in Hingham.

After the accident, he was taken to South Shore Hospital with minor injuries.

During the accident, the school was placed on lockdown.

Police say that Mullen was formerly a student at Scituate High School and has had issues there in the past.

He will be arraigned in Hingham District Court on Thursday morning.
