Braintree Man Charged with Assault and Battery with a Vehicle in Road Rage Incident

The incident took place on Commercial Street.

BRAINTREE, MA — A Braintree man faces charges for a crash on Commercial Street.

Timothy Lis, 47, was arrested on July 18 and charged with operating to endanger and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, according to the Braintree Police Log.

At about 6 p.m., following a quick thunderstorm, a woman driving from Quincy was on the road with Lis behind her. Braintree Police Chief Russell Jenkins told the Patriot Ledger that Lis was allegedly driving very close and yelling at the victim from her vehicle. He then attempted to ram the vehicle off the road and into railroad tracks when the victim stopped at the tracks to check for a train.

The victim was taken to South Shore Hospital for non-life threatening injuries and Lis was scheduled to be arraigned last Tuesday.
