Braintree Man Stole Bike, Tried to Sell it Back to Owner: Police

Braintree, MA - Two men, including one from Braintree were arrested for stealing a bike from a train station after the victim found it for sale online, police said.

Monday evening at South Station, the victim of a bike theft at the Back Bay station told transit police that he located his bike on Craigslist. The victim agreed to buy the bike, with the transaction to take place at the train station's Red Line entrance.
Shortly later, transit police observed Concannon and Carter walk towards South Station in possession of the victim's bike. The two were taken into police custody and the bicycle was returned to its rightful owner.

Concannon and Carter were transported to Transit Police HQ for the arrest booking process. Both were arraigned in Boston Municipal Court-Central Division.
