BRAINTREE, MA — A Braintree man was arrested Saturday after police said he exposed himself to two women at a Marshfield store and assaulted someone outside a restaurant.

Scott Williams, 31, was charged with assault and battery, operating under the influence of liquor (second offense), operating to create harsh and objectionable noise and several traffic violations.

Around 8:15 p.m., Marshfield police were called to a local store after two women said a man exposed himself to them. Police said the suspect, later identified as Williams, left the store before officers arrived. He drove away in a white Infinity sedan with dark-colored wheels and a loud exhaust, police said.

About three hours later, police were called to a local restaurant for a report of an assault. Police said Williams was kicked out of the restaurant earlier in the night. He returned, was kicked out a second time and then punched an innocent bystander in the face outside the restaurant before driving away, police said.

Witnesses gave police the same description of the sedan that the women gave earlier in the night. Police said they found Williams driving the sedan on Route 139 and pulled him over. Police said Williams was driving under the influence of alcohol.
