BRAINTREE, MA — Every January, Braintree celebrates Martin Luther King Jr. Day by honoring a resident for their service to the town.

On Thursday, January 13th Mayor Charles C. Kokoros will honor former town councilor Henry "Hank" Joyce with the Town of Braintree Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Peacemaker Award.

"Hank is a true statesman, and he has done so much for our community both as an elected official and as a community volunteer that make him most deserving of being this year’s recipient," Kokoros said. "It is my honor to recognize Hank for his continued service to Braintree and to present him with the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Peacemaker Award."
