Braintree Obituaries – Dentist 'Dr. Nick' Pellegrino Passes

PELLEGRINO, DMD, Nicholas J. “Dr. Nick”, of Braintree and Harwich Port, passed away on June 20, 2013, after a brief illness, at the age of 82. Beloved husband of Elizabeth “Betty” (Slattery) Pellegrino. Loving father of Lisa Pellegrino of Weymouth, Tina Flaherty and her husband Terence of Scituate and Mark Pellegrino and his wife Nicole of Marshfield. Devoted brother of Anna Wasner of Boston and the late Joseph Pellegrino. Dear grandfather of Terence, Marisa, Brendan, Jared and Dylan. Born in Boston, Nicholas graduated from English High School in Boston, he then studied for a year and half at the University of Rome and later graduated from Tufts Dental School, Class of 1959. He worked as a dentist at his practice on Washington Street in Braintree for 51 years.

Virginia Oswald, 88 years of age, entered Life Eternal at the John Scott Nursing and Rehabilitation Center on Monday, June 17th 2013. She was born at St. Margaret’s Hospital in Boston.  She was the daughter of the late Charles W. Oswald and Agnes M. (Reardon) Oswald.  Virginia is survived by her brother, Robert A. Oswald of Braintree and a cousin George Lamb of Canton.  Virginia was a communicant of St. Thomas More in Braintree.  She was a graduate Notre Dame Academy in Boston and subsequently graduated from Stratton Business College in Boston.  She has resided in Braintree for more than fifty years and was a former resident of Cushing Avenue, Dorchester.
