Braintree Obituaries – Former Braintree Manor Nursing Home Therapist Passes
The following are obituaries for Braintree residents or those with Braintree ties who passed recently.

Edith May (Rodham) Hourihan, 95 years of age entered Life Eternal at the Weymouth Healthcare Facility on Tuesday, July 23, 2013. She was born on March 22, 1918 in Cambridge. Daughter of the late Norman B. and Mary E. (Seavey) Rodham. She attended Cambridge public schools and graduated from Cambridge High and Latin School and Hickox Secretarial School in Boston. Girl Scouting was an important part of her life from childhood to adulthood. She was awarded a Fifty Year Pin for service to Girl Scouts. She was a Certified Recreational Therapist who was employed by the Braintree Manor Nursing Home and the Hollingsworth House.
As a lover of the out-of-doors Mrs. Hourihan enjoyed camping while participating in Girl Scout activities and was also a teacher of Primitive Camping as an adult. She loved to garden and had both vegetable and flower gardens in Braintree and later in Nantucket where her family has summered since 1979.
