Edgar Murray

MURRAY, Edgar “Ed” S. III, of Braintree and Naples Florida, passed away April 29, 2013, surrounded by his loving family, at the age of 78. Beloved husband for 53 years to Louise (Tapper) Murray. Loving father of Pamela (Murray) Higgins and her husband Thomas of Braintree and Michael Murray and his wife Emily Page Murray of Weymouth. ... Edgar graduated from Yonkers High School in New York and then went on to attend Nicholas College and graduate from Curry College in Milton. He proudly served in the US ARMY during the Korean Conflict with the Artillery Division in the United States and Germany. He spent his 32 year business career with Travelers Insurance Co., as a Certified Life Underwriter and after retiring in 1992 continued in business as an independent agent until last year. He enjoyed winters in Florida, playing Bocce, Ballroom Dancing and dining out. He was also a member of the Braintree “Over the Hill” Softball League for many years.

Marcella, (Donahue), “Teddy” of Braintree, formerly of Dorchester, April 30, 2013 at the age of 85. Wife of the late Walter C. Kirkland Jr. Loving mother of John Kirkland and his wife Jone McKenna-Kirkland of Hanson, Paula Dowd and her husband Paul of Braintree, Kevin Kirkland and his wife Patty of Plymouth and Kenneth Kirkland of NH. ....  Teddy has lived in Braintree since 1959. She was a member of the Catholic Daughter’s of America, Mother of Twins Club, Opus Dei, St. Clare Sodality and was a Volunteer at Mass Respiratory Hospital.

Donald Borden

BORDEN, Donald E. of Braintree, formerly of Randolph, passed away April 19, 2013 at the age of 85. He was born in Boston, MA June 28, 1927 and grew up in Randolph, later moving to Braintree where he graduated from Braintree High School after having served in the US Navy during WWII. He later joined the US Army National Guard. Donald was the son of the late Roy and Christina (Mellish) Borden. The beloved husband of Norma (Pilgrim) Borden.
