Braintree Offers Extension To Curbside Leaf Pickup Service
Hurry up and get that rake! There's still time to get rid of your leaves.

BRAINTREE, MA — If you haven't get gotten around to picking up the leaves in your backyard, don't worry. You still have a little time.
The Department of Public Works' curbside yard waste pickup service has been extended through the second week of December. All you have to do is put out your yard waste on your normal trash/recycling day pickup day.
Please keep the following rules in mind before putting anything out front:

- Grass, leaves and branches one inch and under are collected curbside and must be placed in paper bags or open top containers. Do not put yard waste in the town provided trash/recycling carts.
- There is a 5o-pound weight limit for bags.
The following waste is not accepted by pickup:
- Dirt
- Plastic bags
- Root balls
- Large shrubs/ tree trunks
The town accepts dirt, large shrubs, and tree trunks, but requires you bring them to the compost site at 225 Plain Street yourself.
