RESCHEDULED: Braintree Joins With Neighboring Communities For Overdose Vigil
The event is on Friday, August 17, 2012 at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Quincy.

This event has been rescheduled for Friday, Aug. 17, still at 7 p.m. at Veterans Stadium in Quincy. Registration of names to be read starts at 6:30 p.m.
Mayor Joseph Sullivan and Braintree’s Community Partnership on Substance Abuse will be joining with neighboring communities for a candlelight vigil to bring attention to the issue of substance addiction.
Please join concerned citizens of Braintree, Quincy, Weymouth, Randolph, and other South Shore communities to remember those who lost their lives to drug overdose and to give hope to individuals struggling with addiction. Join us to reduce the stigma that surrounds addiction as were member friends, family and community members.

Let’s stand together as a community to bring a face to these individuals, support each other, and make our voices heard to fight this devastating problem. A list of names of those who have died will be gathered on site. Candles will be provided and lit when the names are read aloud during the program. Participants are encouraged to bring a photo of their loved one.
