Braintree Police Charge Man With Overnight Bank Break-In

BRAINTREE, MA — A Plymouth man was arrested after police said he broke into a local bank in the middle of the night.

Stephen Reddy, 37, was charged with breaking and entering at night and breaking and entering into a depository. Around 2 a.m. on Monday, police said Reddy broke into Envision Bank on Rockdale Street. He tried running away, but police said they caught up to him after a brief chase. As of Monday morning, it's not clear how Reddy broke into the bank or if he had any money on him when he was caught, according to police.

Reddy will be arraigned in Quincy District Court.
