Braintree Police Investigating After Airbags Stolen From 9 Honda CRVs

All residents lived on the low end of Washington Street near the Quincy line, Braintree police said.

BRAINTREE, MA — Braintree police are seeking more information after airbags were stolen out of nine Honda CRVs on Thursday.

All residents lived on the low end of Washington Street near the Quincy line, police said. If the car was locked, the burglar broke the window to get to the airbags.

Police have asked anyone in the neighborhood with camera footage showing suspicious activity to contact the department.

A 2018 USA Today report said airbag thefts, particularly from Hondas, can prove lucrative for thieves, with resell values upwards of $1,000.

Thieves in Arlington, Virginia, stole 20 airbags out of Hondas in one neighborhood in 2022, according to ARLnow.com
